Fitness Questions: |
| Q: Why do I need to fill out a Par Med X for Pregnancy to participate in the prenatal fitness programs? |
A: Because we care about you and your baby, we require your healthcare provider to fill out this form to ensure exercise is appropriate for you during your pregnancy. This also ensures that both yourself, Dr/Midwife and your instructor are all on the same page about your fitness program. |

Fitness Questions: |
| Q: When can I start
exercising after having my baby? |
A: This will depend
on a lot of different factors. Firstly you should always make
sure you speak with your healthcare provider before resuming
exercise after the birth of your baby. For wome who have had
vaginal births most Dr's and midwives recommend waiting until
after your 6 week postpartum visit to begin more structured
exercise. For women who have had Caesearan births they usually
recommend waiting a bit longer. Wmen who exercised during their
pregnancies are also generally able to get back into their
exercise routine sooner than those who didn't exercise during
their pregnacy. |
